| THE FISHING Bee Lake: Bee Lake is probably one of the most outstanding small mouth bass lakes in Ontario. Eden Lake is connected by a narrow channel and has an outstanding lake trout fishery. Chase Lake: So many outstanding walleye and northern pike fishing spots that you could spend an entire summer trying to fish each one of them.
Long Lake: Loads of walleye and northern pike will be hungry and waiting. A short hike brings you into a hotbed of scrapping walleye and lunker northern pike. Margot Lake: A true wilderness lake with excellent fishing for small mouth bass and northern pike. Moosehorn Lake: This is a small mouth bass hot spot with more pound for pound excitement than you get with any other game fish. A ten minute walk will take you to Trout Lake to test your skills with the lake trout that roam the depths. Pike Lake can be reached with a quick five minute walk that will take you after those fighting northern pike. Rolston Lake: Offers an abundance of walleye and northern pike, with a good size average and some real “lunkers”. Rex Lake: Some of the largest, healthiest small mouth bass in Canada. Little Rex is famous for its walleye fishing. Salvesen Lake: Anglers wishing a variety have walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass to choose from. Sharpstone Lake: The cold water and oxygenated current of the Berens River produces a great abundance of gamefish, and the walleye and northern pike fishing at Sharpstone Lake is simply spectacular. Trapline Lake: Trapline Lake is a great walleye and northern pike lake. It’s also surrounded by four easily-accessed lakes with short portage trails. In Wilson Lake you’ll have the opportunity to catch lake trout. Wingiskus Lake: Wingiskus Lake is one of those smallmouth bass lakes that make your adventure into the wilds of Canada all that much more rewarding. Accessible from the north end of Wingiskus Lake through a 150 yard portage is Rickaby Lake - another hot-bed for smallmouth bass action. |
