Smallmouth Bass Fishing

Most smallmouth bass anglers consider spring to be prime bass time, but at the Outpost Company, the smallmouth bass fishing is good throughout the summer and is even great into autumn, and avid bass anglers could consider successful fishing trips in “the off season”. The average size range for smallmouth bass is in the 16 inch to 17 inch range.

Lures to use for smallmouth bass are spinners, top water lures, and 1/4 ounce jigs with a twister tail. Use 6 to 8 pound test line with a light action rod.
