	LONG LAKE OUTPOST View the Long Lake Photo Gallery This lake is nearly two miles long and also provides guests with protection from high winds. A small creek between the portage lake and Long Lake provides spawning beds and exchanging water. A short hike brings you to your private portage lake fully equipped with boats, motors, and gas. Moose, bear, loons, eagles, beaver, and loads of fish....Long Lake has it all. A critical part of your day is spent not only with your fishing rod in hand but your camera at your side. Long Lake is waiting for you. Download the Fishing Map! Your cabin on Long Lake faces to the northeast. After the day's fishing and the evening fun, it's time to relax. With huge rock bluffs directly across from the cabin, the view is nothing short of magnificent. This cabin is as good as they come. Hot and cold running water, indoor shower, carpet and linoleum, glass door fireplace stove, complimented by a knotty pine interior and half log siding exterior. As the only guest on the lake, your fishing starts when you decide. Start your day of fishing at daybreak, or, wait until your morning brunch is over...it doesn't matter as loads of Walleye and Northern Pike will be hungry and waiting. Long Lake itself will provide you with all the shore lunch fish you want, in fact often times right off the dock! When you finally tire of the fantastic fishing on Long Lake and are ready for a new adventure head for your personal portage lake. A short hike brings you into a hotbed of scrapping Walleye and lunker Northern Pike. This is a tackle busting lake that will produce average 2 to 4 lbs Walleye with true lunkers mixed in. Northern Pike up to 20 lbs have been caught and released here too. Once again, have your camera ready....for when your arms tire....you can capture your memories by film! Gaslights or a quiet generator supply the power for your cabin lights. A spacious front deck leads to a boardwalk, down to a picnic table landing, just steps from the water's edge. A gazebo (new!), dock and even outhouse all linked by boardwalk provide more amenities.
