Just booked my first trip with Halleys to Bee lake next August. We have ben to a handfull of other outposts, but havent gone with Halleys yet. We are in search of big smallies with Northern, Trout, and Walleyes to keep us busy while the bass are slow. If anyone can lend some good comments about Bee lake I would love to hear them. We cant wait!!

"First of all, we just want to say what a fantastic fishing
trip my son Joey and I had fishing Trapline and Margot lakes this past
summer. I haven't had the time to thank you but of all the fishing trips
we've taken this one overall was the best. We'd like to do it again
next summer.... The only thing we didn't get this summer is photos because
I got the camera wet, so we just have to do it again next year. If
there is any way to try lake trout fishing for one day with a guide we
would like to give that a shot also. Looking forward to hearing from
you.

We have gone a few years with the outpost and love it every time. The service of Gene and his group is great. This year we went to Trapline and the Walleye were great, quiet a few over 25 inches and one that was 31". It was really hot a few days but we went swimming and played baggo. I suggest going on the portage up to the Northern lake as the Northern were hitting like crazy, and fast. Ok size, but the aggressiveness made up for that. Cant wait till next year for our ninth trip!

Comment emailed to camp:
Gene, Wanda, and family,
Just wanted to thank all of you for the fabulous week up on Chase Lake. Tons of fish. What more could parents ask for than uninterrupted time with their children. Something we couldn't have done on a Cruise, or some other Vacation spot - No cell phones, emails, ESPN, etc. We saw Eagles, Otters, Deer, Loons and Ducks, Beaver, Caribou, even a Timber Wolf. By switching Boat partners everyday we were able to have uninterrupted talks with each of our 4 adult boys and learn about what was going on in their lives.
While the Northern lights were incredible, the glow on all our boys faces from catching fish, laughing, teasing, joking around, and just getting together for a week in God"s Country was extremely special to Nancy and I. With our youngest leaving for college, and another living in another City your beautiful place was where we wanted to be to remember old memories of past trips and make new one's!! It was all that and more!! All of the Halley Family is special to us, your honesty and truthfulness, service, and friendship mean the world to us!! Halley's isn't just a business, it's an experience all families should enjoy!!!

Just booked another spring outpost trip to Salveson for 2007. If this is your first outpost trip you will be spoiled with Halley's. A top notch camp with great service and attention to detail.

Gene and crew,
Another fantastic week at Bee and Wingiskus! We saw moose, deer, eagles, Northern Lights, and had great weather agian. We caught 38 trophy fish in our group, including 2 for my 10 year old son who was on his first trip. He had a great time as well, and is now "hooked" like the rest of us. We are anticipating next year's trip and are already counting the days until we can return!
Thanks for everything,
Carol and Gene,
From the BoatRockers, thanks for a first class trip to Chase Lake. The on time arrival and departures are greatly appreciated and the cabins are the best we've stayed in since 1981.

The fishing was very active each day with hundreds of Walleye caught at 18" and under. Our large Walleye was 24", (only 3 over 20" were caught), large Northern 38 1/4" with a half dozen over 30", large Smalley 15", Large Perch 12". The lake seems to have a huge population of small fish. This lake would be a big Pike's dream.

We all made it home in good shape with fewer deer to contend with this year. No Moose or Bear on the roads either.

Thanks again for providing a first class trip. I'll be in touch about future trips.

Best Regards,
Bill Klaske
