Lodge Whitetail HuntsGuided Whitetail Deer HuntsThis year’s deer hunt was very successful for our hunters. There were some big bucks taken from our stands on the English River! This, along with the vast area we hunt and little hunting pressure, is making for excellent success rates among our guests!

Ontario Bull Moose HuntThe moose hunt at The Outpost Company is a time of year we all look forward to with great anticipation. When we are out in the field with our hunters, the experience of calling in a bull for a hunter is an experience like no other. When you get a bull grunting at you and breaking brush as you call him in, it definitely makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck! Pictured here is just one of the several successful bull hunts at the camps and outposts that took place this fall.

The high bear population in our bear management areas made it a very exciting hunt for all bear hunters. With the population boom and our vast hunting area, we had experienced very active baits this fall. Even with our abundant blueberry crop the bears were looking for the last bit of sustenance before hibernation, this made for lots of excitement while on stand.

Ontario Archery Bear Hunts

Comments: We had a super time at Caribou Falls Landing! The fishing was awesome and we both had the opportunity to pass on multiple bear while on stand. On the third evenings hunt, Shelly arrowed this 260 lb boar at 13 yards. We were so impressed with the quality of the bait sites and the number of bear! Thanks again for a memorable hunt!

Bear Hunts:

The warm, dry summer that was experienced in northwestern Ontario made for a poor berry crop in the forest. As a result, the bears were very aggressive on baits as they looked for alternate food sources. This, along with the high density of bears in our area made for an exciting hunt for all.

Moose Hunts:

This year’s moose hunt was exceptional. We had two 50 plus inch bulls taken by bow. When scored, these bulls could potentially be in the Ontario record books for archery. There were also four more 50 plus inch bulls taken with rifle. We had a very high success rate for archery this season with bulls being taken as close as eight yards. This was a testament to how well the moose called.
